Hello friends, and welcome to another Dr Frank Weakly Reader, that thing I do where I attempt to index my own internet for future findability since, as we all know, though few care: it ain’t gonna index itself.
I slacked off and skipped last week so this is two weeks’ worth… read along if you like.
And now, without further ado (as I’ve got very little ado to my name at the moment) on we hurtle into the weak that was…
Hello friends, and welcome. What we’ve got here is another Dr Frank Weakly Reader, wherein I have attempted to index my own internet for the week. As usual it is annotated, augmented, illustrated, and jazzed up. I do it mainly for myself so I’ll have somewhere to search if I ever want to find anything, but feel free to read along if you like. There’s no charge.
The main thing we’ve got coming up is the Lookout Zoomout III, which is happening this Sunday, March 28, noon Pacific. Here’s the link for tickets. …
Hello. I’ve assembled another of these Dr Frank Weakly Readers, though it’s two weeks’ worth of stuff instead of the usual one because I skipped it last week as I sometimes do. It’s meant to be an effective index of otherwise unrecoverable internet posts, so I have a place to search if I want to find something. As I always say, I do it mainly for my own use, but I try to make it interesting and pretty as well, just in case anyone else might like to follow along. And as usual, it’s annotated, illustrated, augmented, and expanded, here…
Hello, sports fans, and welcome to another Dr Frank Weakly Reader, wherein I compile, annotate, expand, and illustrate the week’s hijinks in the Dr Frank web-o-sphere. This is mainly so I can have a place to search if I ever need to find something in future, but I also try to make it pretty and fun in case anyone else wants to read along. Feel free, if so.
So, if I have this right, the Dallas soccer team has announced a sponsorship deal with a Texas tech company called MTX, with the result that their corporate logo is now incorporated…
Hello, my friends, and welcome to the latest Dr Frank Weakly Reader, that thing I do where I assemble an assemblage of the week’s “content,” illustrated, annotated, and expanded where appropriate. This is primarily so it may be found later, but also because OCD. (This one covers two weeks because I skipped last week — that’s what “incl.” is meant to mean.)
It’s a stupid job but somebody has to do it. Being something of a realist, at least about the appeal of such a project, I do it mainly for myself. But being, as well, a dreamer of big…
Hello friends, and welcome another edition of the Dr Frank Weakly Reader, that thing I do where I compile, illustrate, annotate and expand the previous week on the Dr Frank internet so it may be searched for and found later, should I ever wish to do that. I do it for myself mainly, but as always, feel free read along if you like.
— Lookout Zoomout #2: Yes, I’m coming back for and with more, along with Dan Vapid, Rose Melberg, Kepi, and Lawrence Livermore, hosted as before by Grant Lawrence. I suppose Grant is thinking of me as the…
… where we won’t get kicked out, ’cause we’ve got a lot to talk about. After years of research I think I’ve figured it out. And, to one’s surprise, it’s a livestream featuring Lookout Records alumni playing their old songs. Joe said it “felt like old times” and I agree it sort of did, and how likely was that, all awkward virtual and over the internet?
Well, here we are with another Dr Frank Weakly Reader, that thing I do where I gather the week’s activities and lay them out so they may be found if ever sought they may be. (It’s two weeks’ worth this time as I skipped last week, as I sometimes do: that’s what I mean by “incl.”) I usually add some framing, further commentary, notes, and illustrations just to make it more interesting and/or palatable. I do it mainly for myself but as always feel free to read along if you like. I’ll try to make it good.
And now, on…
Well, the modern world is not so bad, not like the students say, and there’s sex in the sunny day, but I should know that gambling just don’t pay, and looking up in the sky and reminiscing about the future ain’t what it used to be…
There are those who think we’re going through some kind of 1968 (but without the good music.) Or maybe it’s 1917, without the good music, or even 1848 without the good… music.
I am Dr. Frank. I write books and songs. Mtx Forever.
