The Dr Frank Weakly Reader for 8.28.2020
Well, friends, it’s another Dr Frank Weakly Reader, that thing I do where I try to index my own “content” so I can find it later, and so you can find it, too, should you ever wish to. Expanded, annotated, and illustrated as best I can. I do it mainly for myself, but feel free to read along and look at the pictures if you like. It’s free.

I got it in the mail this week just like everyone else, and boy it is nice. If you can’t tell from the pic at the head, Chris Appelgren adapted the original art so that the cover is die-cut and the red bits show from the inner sleeve through the holes. And the 180 gram grey metallic vinyl is gorgeous. And it sounds amazing. Swell job all around.
Records are great.
As I said, the second pressing (150 gram, same color) is still available but only just and we’re already moving on to other colors so stay tuned for that.

MTX FOR THE MASSES
— Diego, my Argentine buddy, sporting a rather uncommon Yesterday Rules T-shirt. We made these for the Yesterday Rules tour in 2004 and only did the one tour and stopped for a decade so they didn’t get out there much. We had a few left over and sold them at our show with Screeching Weasel in San Francisco in 2015.
It’s a great design, derived from the album artwork. Judging from FB comments, it was forgotten by time to such a degree that even Chris Appelgren, who designed it, was unaware of having done so. That’s rare.
